MOSCOW, March 26 (RIA Novosti) - Sergei Mironov, speaker of the Federation Council (Russian parliament's upper house), does not regard the latest developments in Kyrgyzstan as a revolution.

In his opinion, the people whose interests had long been ignored were driven to despair and simply had to take to the streets in protest.

Mironov underscored that he "was encouraged by the new Kyrgyz leaders' statements whereby they declared their readiness to cooperate with Russia."

According to him, the main lesson of the latest developments in Kyrgyzstan boils down to the simple truth that people cannot be deceived all the time, "they are always able to tell the truth from a lie".

The Federation Council speaker said that he wished the Kyrgyz people to retain patience and self-control and to succeed in establishing legitimate bodies of both administrative and legislative power.
