"The political developments will continue there [in Kyrgyzstan]. We shall not comment on these events yet, however, taking into account our special relations with Kyrgyz people and humanitarian reasons, we will have to render assistance if necessary," Putin said at the Monday meeting with cabinet members.
The people who control the situation in Kyrgyzstan asked ask to help them restore Bishkek's infrastructure and carry out forthcoming agricultural works, he noted.
State Duma First Vice Speaker Lyubov Sliska said, in turn, that law and order should be restored in Kyrgyzstan to boost the crisis settlement.
"We know that the Kyrgyz election system is not perfect but it is necessary to acknowledge the authorities of one parliament and restore law and order," Sliska told journalists.
She also called to revise the results of the recent parliamentary elections, which provoked unrests in the republic.
"The situation is ambiguous. Not only the OSCE but also Russia and Kazakhstan should help settle the conflict," Sliska stressed.
According to her, the Russian parliament could set up a special commission on the Kyrgyz settlement.
