MOSCOW, March 28 (RIA Novosti) -Two airships and three balloons which are intended to monitor motor traffic in Moscow have been tested in Zhukovski near Moscow.

They have been tested to success, the administration of Zhukovski has said. In April the airships and balloons will appear in the skies above Moscow.

Two two-seat airship of the AU-12m series and three AU-27 (Rys) balloons will monitor the traffic situation. They will have special optical systems akin to those in reconnaissance helicopters. One of the two airships will become operational in April, the administration said.

The balloons will monitor the most problematic road portions where jamming is most often. In on-line regime they will transmit information received through video cameras to a single dispatcher center. Upon analyzing the dispatcher-processed information, the traffic police will rush on site, if necessary, to handle the problem.

It is planned to use the downlinked data for supervising of the traffic order and monitoring of man-caused emergencies. An interior air regiment will service the craft.
