RUSSIA, EU COORDINATE IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS

SOCHI, April 5 (RIA Novosti) - Russia and the European Union have virtually coordinated all documents pertaining to the creation of the four common spaces, EU High Commissioner for Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana said during his talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

We can finish this work already in the near future, Solana stressed.

Vladimir Putin, in turn, noted that both sides were finalizing specific documents rather actively. These documents are to be signed on May 10 in Moscow.

Russia-EU relations are developing consistently; we continue to find additional points of contact, the Russian leader said.

The Luxembourg conference of foreign ministers was quite good, Putin added. We have made headway in the sphere, which you are supervising, Putin stressed. Among other things, this concerns joint efforts to settle conflicts, Putin noted.

In Solana's words, bilateral relations continue to improve. The forthcoming summit will be successful, he said.

Solana voiced hope to the effect that the summit will facilitate cooperation. We will be able to discuss issues that concern Russia and the EU, Solana noted. We continue to voice similar positions on different international issues, he stressed.
