TEL AVIV, April 5 (RIA Novosti's Ratmir Orestov) - Police were questioning Vladimir Gusinsky, once Russia's most affluent media tycoon, for five hours and a half today, Arnon Perelman, his adviser, said to Novosti.

The tycoon has previously been summoned on two occasions to the Israeli police transnational crime department since he came to Israel, Wednesday last.

The next questioning has not yet been scheduled for now, added Mr. Perelman. He thinks tomorrow will be the last. "Police usually warn about a next questioning the night before it," he added.

Our interviewee is not sure whether police are questioning his boss as witness or suspect. Mr. Gusinsky is not a defendant-he knows that for sure.

The questionings are made with the tycoon's private lawyer absent, in compliance with the Israeli law. David Libai, the lawyer, once was Israel's Justice Minister.
