Russia holds the second place in the Forbes' list of billionaires.
According to the poll, 39% of Russians are ashamed of this fact and 7% are, on the contrary, proud of it.
Moreover, 15% of the polled envy billionaires and other 15% wonder how they made their fortunes.
About 25% of Russians failed to express their attitude to the fact that Russia has so many rich men.
The older the respondents the more ashamed they are for Russia - 62% of pensioners feel shame for this image of the country while 28% of young people want to be billionaires themselves.
Russians consider big businessmen, well-known politicians and pop stars to be the wealthiest people in the country.
The poll of 1,600 Russians was conducted by the All-Russia Public Opinion Research Center in 100 settlements if 40 regions, territories and republics of the Russian Federation. The statistic error is not more than 3.4%.
