"The united environment high-level ad hoc team finished its job today. It has coordinated 17 draft bills, says our representative. All came to an accord, Ukrainians included. The other bills, on a total package of 29, will be coordinated by next July, as scheduled," said President Nazarbayev.
President Putin highlighted the Russian-Kazakh trade turnover doubled last year. "We overleapt our eight billion dollar target," he stressed.
"Kazakhstan is making dynamic preparations to the 60th anniversary of World War II victory. You have invited me to Moscow for the galas, and I shall come-our Kazakh celebrations have been scheduled for an earlier day," said Mr. Nazarbayev.
"This is a grand red-letter day for all of us," replied Mr. Putin.
As he came over to an upcoming CIS summit, Mr. Nazarbayev referred to a recent Kazakh call to reform the Commonwealth with an account for its latest developments. "I should like to compare our opinions, what with the tremendous importance of Russian stances," he remarked.
The summit agenda will include priority projects for power, engineering and metal industries, space team efforts, post-Soviet area integration, Kazakh initiatives for a CIS reform, and partnership within the united economic environment and on the EURASEC-Eurasian Economic Community of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
