Bakiev also declared in favor of active development of economic links between the SCO members, according to the SCO Secretariat's press-release circulated this Friday.
The invariability of Kyrgystan's foreign policy priorities and its continued willingness to develop relations with the SCO was declared in a talk with Zhang Deguang by acting Foreign Minister Roza Otunbaeva.
She declared in favor of joint work over the SCO's greater efficiency and the achievement of further results in the spheres of security, trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation."
The Kyrgyz leaders noted that the situation in the republic was assuming constitutional norms and reiterated their intention to consolidate law and order and to seek a fair holding of coming presidential elections.
For his part, SCO Executive Secretary Zhang Deguang familiarized the Kyrgyz side with SCO guidelines in various spheres and with plans for the future, including arrangements for this summer's SCO summit in Astana (Kazakhstan), says the press-release.
The SCO incorporates Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgystan, Tadjikistan and Uzbekistan.
