Russian exports to Egypt increased by 105 per cent, and imports from Egypt by 51 per cent. Dominating Russian exports are petroleum products, wheat, saw-timber, paper, cardboard, and rolled iron and steel. Egypt is eager to spread cooperation to high technologies and science-intensive spheres. In particular, prospects to use aircraft engines in gas-pumping stations have come under consideration, alongside development and production of alternative energy sources, water filtering, and many other endeavors.
