MOSCOW, April 11 (RIA Novosti) - The idea of a Russia-India-China will not work according to Foreign Defense Policy Council Chairman Sergei Karaganov.
"The design of the Russia-China-India triangle recently advanced by Yevgeni Primakov in Beijing is not viable," he said at a press conference Monday.
According to Karaganov, the parties' cultural gaps are too broad and the countries are not interested in direct opposition to the United States.
"China, Russia and India would like to be friends with the United States," he said.
Karaganov said the three countries could base economic cooperation on common interests.
