MOSCOW, April 12 (RIA Novosti) - About 54% of Russians work, above all, to provide for themselves and their families, according to the results of the representative poll of 15,000 Russians conduced by the ROMIR (Russian Public Opinion and Market Research) Monitoring holding.
Sociologists proposed those polled to select their attitude to work by a multiple choice (each person could choose several variants).
According to 33% of the polled, high wages is the main criterion of a job choice. 17% prefer to work with interesting people rather than to stay home. Jobs let 14% of the respondents realize their abilities and 13% say they have no opportunity to change their job. Six percent of the polled hope their current jobs are a good career start.
People with primary education say they work to provide for themselves and their families (60%), while respondents with higher education assign priority to a friendly team (20%), self-realization (32%) and career prospects (14%).
