"The constitutive congress of the new political party will take place on April 20. The party will participate in the next parliamentary elections," Semigin said.
On Monday Semigin, the head of the shadow 'people's cabinet,' presented the new Russian course, the program of the new party on 250 pages.
The transformation of the Russian Patriots coalition into a party does not mean that Semigin's 'people's cabinet' will automatically become the party's shadow cabinet, said 'people's finance minister' Sergei Glazyev.
"I do not intend to join any political party," he added.
The 'government of leftist patriots' also comprises Ivan Baburin, Gennady Gudkov, Ivan Grachev, Yelena Drapeko, etc.
Gennady Semigin plans to oppose the government from economic positions.
