MOSCOW, April 20 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice have briefed President Vladimir Putin on the progress in fulfilling agreements achieved between the President of Russia and the United States, Lavrov told journalists.

"Vladimir Putin emphasized that he did not see any serious problems in fulfilling these agreements: the relations with the USA still show onward dynamics," he said.

"This is true about bilateral relations and the specific, confidential dialog between our capitals on different levels on such problems as regional conflicts and strategic stability," he pointed out.

It is also true about "joint action to fight against displays of international terrorism and to eliminate sources of international terrorism financing as well as of WMD non-proliferation," the minister added.

Also, this includes action to stabilize the situation in "conflict and unstable regions for the sake of their free and democratic development," he explained.

At the meeting the Russian President and the US State Secretary agreed to continue joint efforts to stabilize the situation in Afghanistan, Iraq and some other countries, he said.
