RIA Novosti learnt this from the press officer of the Russian Air Force, Colonel Alexander Drobyshevski.
"At 19:00, Moscow time, on Tuesday a fly-past drill of the military parade on the Victory Day was held. The parade will take place in Moscow on May 9. The drill was guided by deputy commander-in-chief of the Russian Air Force Colonel-General Alexander Zelin", Colonel Drobyshevski said.
"Two fighters, a Su-27 piloted by Colonel Igor Tkachenko, and an attack plane Su-25, piloted by Colonel Oleg Makovetski, swished above Red Square", Drobyshevski said.
Since it was an air reconnaissance only two planes were aloft, he said.
"Drill of the entire air parade will be held in early May. Over ten warplanes Su-27, MiG-29 and Su-25 of the 16th Air Army will be in the air", said the Air Force press officer.
