The second stage of the Forum's events was keynoted by the slogan: "Russia-Italy. Meeting in Venice." The most friendly atmosphere reigned supreme at the best grounds of Venice where the Russian guests showed their performances. The central square of St.Mark was given to the Kuban Cossack Choir while the cathedral of St.Mark heard the church canticles by the Moscow male choir "Peresvet". The chamber Soloists of Moscow group under the guidance of Yury Bashment was applauded when giving a gala concert at the famous La Fenice opera house.
Equal acclaim awaited the Moscow Photography House's exhibition "Quiet resistance. Russian pictorealism: the 1900s-1930s" dedicated to Russian photo Avant-Garde.
Under review were Russian-Italian tourist exchanges, restoration of historical centers, development of infrastructure and environmental protection in such coastal cities and Venice and St.Petersburg.
There was an official ceremony of presenting the joint project : Ad Fontes: the grassroots of European unity", involving the Roman association "Sophia: the idea of Russia, the idea of Europe" and the Moscow state institute of international relations.
The Italian-Russian forum's next program to be implemented this autumn is to handle problems and prospects of the development of industrial districts.
