The Russian exhibition has also won a special award of Taiwan, the order For Improving Human Life Quality, RIA Novosti was told at the Federal Space Agency.
"The awarded exhibits are emergency and rescue radio beacons COSPAS-SARSAT for fixing through satellites the coordinates of aircraft in distress", Roskosmos spokesman Vyacheslav Davidenko said,
Radio beacons developed and manufactured by the Space Instrument-Making Institute are carried by every plane and helicopter in Russia and countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
The institute's developments have long been broadly recognized in the Russian Federation and abroad.
Its emergency rescue radio beacons have won the 1st degree diploma and the gold medal of the international inventions, novel technology and goods shows Geneva'2002 and Geneva'2004, diplomas and gold medals of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry in 2002 and 2004 as the best attainments promoting life saving and diminishing effects of natural calamities and man-caused catastrophes.
