KALININGRAD
* The Amber Necklace 22nd international arts festival dedicated to the 60th anniversary of VE Day and the 750th anniversary of Kaliningrad (Koenigsberg) will open. Days of Polish, Lithuanian, German and Swedish cultures will be held during the festival. It will be running for a month.
ST. PETERSBURG
* The Victory Day all-Russia free wrestling tournament will open at the Winter stadium (May 5-7). Over 100 athletes from Russia, Estonia and Lithuania will participate in the competitions.
PYONGYANG
* A delegation of the Russian State Duma international affairs committee will arrive in Pyongyang. The delegates are to hold talks on the North Korean nuclear program (May 5-7).
PARIS
* A cultural center near Paris will host a soiree dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Victory over Nazism. Soloists of the opera signing center of Galina Vishnevskaya and holders of grants of Mstislav Rostropvich's fund will perform war music. An exhibition of war photographs and an exhibition Victory Commanders from the fund's archives will be organized.
