MOSCOW, May 14 (RIA Novosti) - Today Moscow hosted a youth event "Europe's Day. 60 Years of Peace."
According to organizers, about 80,000 young people from Moscow and other European cities gathered in the Gorky central park.
"The event is to promote the development of friendship and mutual understanding between Russian and European youth and international cooperation and the consolidation of European integration," the public relations committee of the Moscow government told RIA Novosti.
A fair was held in the Gorky park. It provided detailed information on the culture and traditions of EU countries and their youth programs.
Moreover, the guests saw a seven-hour concert of European and Russian pop stars which ended with fireworks.
