MOSCOW, May 18 (RIA Novosti) - Public sector wages must be increased by 50% regardless of the situation on international markets, said President Vladimir Putin.
At his meeting with senior Russian parliamentarians and cabinet members, Putin said that average public sector wages at best totaled 70% of average wages in the country.
"Increasing public sector wages is a priority," said Putin.
