MOSCOW, May 19 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Air Force denied reports about Russian military planes violating the Finnish air space in the Aland Islands area.

"Russian air services have objective air traffic control information, which they can provide to the Finnish side," said Colonel Alexander Drobyshevsky, the senior spokesman for the Air Force,

According to the Finnish Foreign Ministry's official statement that appeared on its Web site Thursday, Russian military planes have repeatedly violated the Finnish air space in the past few months.

Allegedly, the violations took place in the area above the Gulf of Finland when Russian planes were flying over the southern Aland Islands en route to the Kaliningrad region (Russia's Baltic exclave) or on the way back, the document reads.
