"The foreign ministers will consider the implementation of decisions made at the SCO summit in Tashkent (June 2004) and preparations for the next summit in Astana due on July 5-6," the Foreign Ministry's information and press department told RIA Novosti.
The implementation of decisions made and instructions given by the SCO leaders in Tashkent is in progress. The SCO is developing multi-format cooperation between its member-states and interaction with other international organizations and countries.
The permanent SCO bodies established in 2004, the secretariat in Beijing and the executive committee of the regional anti-terrorism structure in Tashkent are turning into effective collective mechanisms which guarantee stable functioning of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the ministry said.
