ASTANA, June 4 (RIA Novosti) - The recent events in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan are domestic affairs of these countries, Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing said at a press conference in Kazakh capital Astana on Saturday.
Astana hosted a session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO: Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan).
"These are domestic affairs of these Central Asian countries. I am convinced that the governments and people of these countries have political determination and ability to settle their home affairs," Li Zhaoxing said.
According to him, the Chinese government assigns priority to the development of relations with Central Asian countries.
"We appreciate our friendship with these countries and assign priority to the development of relations with them," the minister said.
