BISHKEK, June 13, (RIA Novosti) - "About 100 people armed with cudgels attacked the Alai central hotel," an eyewitness said. "Hotel guards opened fire, injuring several persons," he added. Attackers claim that some people were killed.
Police officers and local dwellers are moving toward the hotel.
This hotel is reportedly owned by Bayaman Erkinbayev, member of the Kyrgyz Parliament.
About 200 people ransacked a large wholesale market which belongs to Erkinbayev's sister in Kara-Suu last week.
Prosecutors link this attack with attempted property redivision.
