Danilova, the director of the ministry's macroeconomic department, heads the Russian delegation at the Harbin fair (June 14-19).
Russia had the largest foreign delegation at the fair comprising 400 official participants, she said. Its exposition occupied 87 stands.
An official Russian delegation of the federal level attended the fair for the first time since 1992. "This is an important event reflecting the level of our trade and economic relations with China," Danilova said.
Samples and information on engineering and hi-tech products dominated the Russian stands, she added.
This trend was coordinated with the Chinese side beforehand in compliance with the annual plan of boosting engineering trade, the chief delegate said.
The Russian side published a catalogue of Russian engineering companies and products in Chinese especially for the Harbin fair. "Russian Economic Development and Trade Minister German Gref and Chinese Minister of Commerce Bo Xilai made a relevant decision in October 2004," Danilova said.
A catalogue "Russia's Export Possibilities" in English, which deals with technological products and technologies, was also presented at the fair, she added.
Special copies of this catalogue were handed to Vice Premier of the Chinese State Council Wu Yi, Bo Xilai and heads of Heilongjiang province. The Chinese side highly assessed the edition and pointed to its practical use, Danilova said.
Russia's Day organized by the Russian Economic Development and Trade Ministry and the Chinese Ministry of Commerce on June 16 was the highlight of the fair, she added. About 800 people attended the plenary session.
Presentations of the Siberian Federal District, the Amur region, timber industry of the Maritime territory and Vneshekomonbank offering foreign trade banking services were held on Russia's Day in Harbin.
