Ministry spokesman Alexander Yakovenko said a working group including the United States, the EU, Russia, Japan, Egypt, Iraq and the UN organized the forum.
Government officials said the document should contain the international community's major priorities for Iraq's post-conflict rehabilitation, Yakovenko said.
"In particular, we think this document should reflect the sentiments of the countries and international organizations present at the conference to boost assistance to Iraqis in resolving the tasks of the transitional period in line with the provisional schedule mentioned in UN Security Council resolution 1546. It should also contain clear guiding lines for the new transitional government," he said.
Yakovenko said Russia hoped the Brussels conference would boost the international community's assistance in promoting Iraq's political settlement, stability and the strengthening of its sovereignty as a state.
