MOSCOW, June 22 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Minister of Economic Development and Trade German Gref told journalists today that the state would gain control of Gazprom, the natural gas monopoly, by June 24.
When asked whether a 10.74% stake in Gazprom would be transferred to the state before a shareholders' meeting due on June 24, the minister answered, "Yes".
Gref said the company would get the money for the stake by the end of the year.
