MOSCOW, June 22 (RIA Novosti) - Russia and the United States may complement each other in the high-tech sphere, Russian Education and Science Minister Andrei Fursenko said today greeting participants in the first session of the Russian-U.S. High-Tech Council in Moscow.
"The Council may help determine and coordinate our interests in innovation development," the minister said.
A co-chairman of the Council Sergei Mazurenko, who is also the head of the Russian Federal Agency for Science and Innovation, said: "The Council's objective is to promote business, state and scientific cooperation both inside our countries and as part of international innovation projects."
The Council's members discussed promising trends in innovation cooperation to commercialize research results and ways to promote innovation cooperation.
