Moscow, June 24 (RIA Novosti) - Russia and the United States will stage a joint Best Research Project competition, the Russian Science and Education Ministry announced Friday.
More than $1 million in prize money will be offered to support up to twelve collaborative U.S.-Russian research projects in biology, biomedicine, chemistry and geology, the ministry said in a press release. Around $700,000 will come from Russia's treasury coffers and $350,000 will be provided by the U.S.'s Civilian Research and Development Foundation (CRDF).
The contest will be held sometime before the end of 2007. Its terms will be announced before July 12 of this year and applications will be accepted through August 1.
