GROZNY, June 27 (RIA Novosti) - Chechen First Vice Prime Minister Ramzan Kadyrov, who is in charge of the republic's power bloc, will deal with the disappearances in Borozdinovskaya village after a police special operation.

Chechen President Alu Alkhanov appointed Kadyrov head of the government commission for the Borozdinovskaya situation, the Chechen presidential press service reported Monday.

The commission includes representatives of Chechnya's power bloc, the military prosecutor's office, the republic's ministries and departments and four representatives from Borozdinovskaya, sent by village residents.

The commission will investigate the disappearance of 11 locals during a special police operation, arrange for the return of village residents from a refugee camp in Daghestan, a neighboring republic, and solve the population's social problems.

The fate of the missing is still unknown. After the incident, village residents started abandoning their homes, settling in Daghestan in a tent camp.

Eighty percent of the Borozdinovskaya population is composed of ethnic Daghestanis.

Russian Presidential Plenipotentiary in the Southern Federal District Dmitry Kozak said at a meeting last week in Grozny that an operational investigative group had been set up to look into all cases of kidnapping in Chechnya, especially that concerning Borozdinovskaya.

The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has initiated proceedings on the charges of abduction and blackmail.
