NOVO-OGARYOVO, June 28 (RIA Novosti) - President Vladimir Putin said he was satisfied the situation in Uzbekistan was under control after unrest in the country in May. He also said he hoped it would improve further.
"We are glad the situation has normalized. We hope the authorities (of Uzbekistan( will ensure stability as soon as possible," Putin said at a meeting with his Uzbek counterpart, Islam Karimov, today.
