MOSCOW, July 1 (RIA Novosti) - INTER RAO UES, a subsidiary of RAO UES (Unified Energy Systems of Russia), has suspended an agreement with Ukraine's Energoatom on electric power supplies to Russia, a UES news release said.
"The reason for the suspension is a decision made by Ukraine's national electric power regulating body to raise tariffs by 1.8 times to 2.4 cents per KW/h for electric power purchases on Ukraine's domestic market by state-run Energoatom for further deliveries to Russia," the news release said.
