KALININGRAD, July 2 (RIA Novosti) - President Vladimir Putin has come out for introducing state monopoly on spirit production.
At the end of the State Council session in Kaliningrad, the president said many people died of poorly distilled alcohol products in Russia.
"The best solution would be if the government decided to impose state monopoly on spirit production," said the president.
