MAKHACHKALA, July 5 (RIA Novosti) - Two policemen have been killed, and three more and a passerby have been injured in an explosion near a police station in the capital of Daghestan (North Caucasus), the press service of the republic's interior ministry said.
An explosive device went off at about 3 p.m. Moscow time on the side of street where several auto repair shops are based. Residential buildings on the opposite side were not affected, a source in the interior ministry said.
Traffic reopened after no other explosives were found nearby.
The explosive device had been hidden in undergrowth.
