GENEVA, July 6 (RIA Novosti, Yekaterina Andrianova) - Russia and Pakistan signed a protocol on the former's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva on Wednesday.
Russia has completed bilateral talks on WTO accession with 35 members of the organization and signed accession protocols with most of them.
Maxim Medvedkov, the director of the Russian Economic Development and Trade Ministry's trade talks department, said Russia had completed talks with Pakistan, Bolivia, and Ecuador last week.
Bilateral protocols were also signed with Norway and Mexico at a round of talks in Geneva on June 20-29.
Russia said negotiations would hopefully be completed before December 2005, i.e. by the WTO ministerial conference in Hong Kong.
