* Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov will meet with the speaker of the State Duma (the lower chamber of the parliament), deputy speakers and faction leaders.
* Greek Foreign Minister Petros Molyviatis will arrive in Moscow on a routine two-day visit. He is scheduled to meet with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, on July 8.
* President of the 59th session of the UN General Assembly Jean Ping, the Gabonese foreign minister, will arrive in Moscow on a two-day visit.
* The Federation Council (the upper chamber of parliament) will host a conference, Doubling GDP and Combating Poverty in Small Russian Towns (July 7-8) (10.00).
* RIA Novosti will host the following news conferences:

* Moscow will host a press conference on the results of the spring-summer political season with Valery Fyodorov, the director of the All-Russia Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM) and Vladimir Petukhov, the VTsIOM director for research (12.00).
* The Moscow Carnegie Center will present a new edition, Nuclear Deterrence and Non-Proliferation (17.30).
* The Interfax agency will host a press conference, The Development of the International Project of Space Exploration and Use. New Solutions (14.00).
* The fifth awards ceremony, Russian Media Manager-2005, will be held.
* The general directorate and organizing committee of the Kinoshok open film festival of the CIS and Baltic states will give a press conference on the 14th festival (13.00).
ST. PETERSBURG
* A monument dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the establishment of Russian-Japanese diplomatic relations will be unveiled in Kronshtadt, near St. Petersburg. Japanese member of parliament Toshigutsu Saito, the initiator of this project, and representatives of Shimoda, where the bilateral treaty on trade and borders was signed 150 years ago, will attend the ceremony.
HELSINKI
* A conference of leading representatives of Europe's business community will open (July 7-9) involving about 100 businessmen, political scientists and economists from 27 countries. Severstal Group General Director Alexei Mordashov and Alfa Group Chairman of the Board Mikhail Fridman will represent Russia. The conference will focus on the economic situation in Europe, on the international market, modern political and economic challenges, competition and economic relations with Russia.
