Adakhan Madumarov told a news conference that observers from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and representatives from over a hundred media had already arrived in the country to monitor the elections.
"This shows that we have nothing to hide," he said. "We are not going to impose our opinion on how democratic the elections will have been."
Madumarov said he considered the situation in the republic ahead of the presidential elections, which will be held on July 10, to be calm. However, he added that if any disturbances occurred, they would be brought under control quickly.
"The government, CIS, SCO, and Eurasian Economic Community are providing assistance. Russia is particularly helpful, providing material, technical, financial and moral support," Madumarov said.
