MOSCOW, July 9 (RIA Novosti) - Antisubmarine ships of Russia's Black Sea Fleet practiced mixed navigation and sea combat on July 7-9, the fleet's press service reported today. "A group of small antisubmarine ships of the Black Sea Fleet has finished exercises in mixed navigation and sea combat today. Antisub aircraft were also involved," the source said.
On July 7-9, the Muromets, Vladimirets and Alexandrovets warships performed seek-and-destroy missions against submarines and practiced meeting airstrikes, carrying out electronic launches and firing cannon systems.
"All in all, eight warships, motorboats and auxiliary craft, four antisubmarine helicopters and a diesel submarine were involved in the exercises," the press service said.
