MOSCOW, July 11 (RIA Novosti)-Russia's General Prosecutor's Office has opened a criminal case involving ex-Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov, a source in the law-enforcement structures said.
The source said that case, which was initiated at the request of Alexander Khinstein, a member of the lower chamber of the Russian parliament, had been opened under an article in the country's Criminal Code on "inflicting material damage through deception or abuse of trust."
The source said that the member of parliament had questioned how several firms had purchased a large area of land.
