MOSCOW, July 11 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian General Prosecutor's Office has said it has seized original documents to study the legitimacy of a real estate acquisition by former Prime Minister Kasyanov.
Criminal proceedings have begun against Kasyanov on charges of inflicting material damage through deception or the abuse of trust, the office said in a statement.
"Investigators seized original documents to check the legitimacy of real estate acquisition by Kasyanov and the legitimacy of other deals concluded by government officials for the sale of state property," the statement said.
