BISHKEK, July 14 (RIA Novosti) - The Kyrgyz government must stop political debates and start taking concrete measures, acting Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiyev said Thursday.

"Unfortunately, some ministers and leaders continue political debates and I am asking all heads of the executive branch and vice-prime ministers to stop debating politics and start taking practical steps. People are tired of politics and elections," Bakiyev said at a special government session on harvesting and preparation for the winter.

He also asked the heads of the executive branch to stop the unnecessary paper work.

"We must look to the future. The world prices are growing. The main aim of the government is to prevent a sudden jump in prices. We have to talk to suppliers. Everything must be done in advance and we must not wait for a letter from a head or a vice-prime minister. Spare the paper and work here and now," Bakiyev said.

He warned that all those who fail to implement the tasks would be dismissed, despite their reasons and previous accomplishments.

"If they cannot work they must leave," Bakiyev said.
