MOSCOW, July 16 (RIA Novosti) - Turkey occupies an important place among Russian foreign policy priorities, a source in the Russian Foreign Ministry said Saturday.

Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a meeting with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan on July 17-18 in Sochi, Russia's south. It will be the fourth meeting within the last seven months, said Alexander Yakovenko, the official spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"The Foreign Ministries of the both countries pay close attention to the issues concerning the interaction in the fight against international terrorism, including the situation in the North Caucasus, as well as in the fight against organized crime and drug trafficking," Yakovenko added.
