MOSCOW, July 17 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian national team has reached the finals of the European Youth Basketball Championship underway in Chekhov, the Moscow region. On Saturday, the team led by coach Yevgeny Pashutin defeated their rivals from Serbia and Montenegro 64:56.
Vitaly Fridzon who scored 17 points was the best in the Russian team.
Russians will compete 5 p.m. Sunday with the Lithuanian team that managed to defeat the Israeli team 67:66.
