URGENT: Gazprom, Naftogaz Ukrainy settle the problem over 7.8 billion cubic meters of Russian natural gas in Ukraine's storehouses

MOSCOW, July 17 (RIA Novosti) - Gazprom and Naftogaz Ukrainy, the natural gas giants of Russia and Ukraine respectively, have signed a package of documents to finally settle the problem over 7.8 billion cubic meters of Russian natural gas in Ukraine's underground storage facilities, Gazprom said Sunday.

"In line with the signed documents, Naftogaz Ukrainy has been given 2.55 billion cubic meters of gas on account of partial payment for services on Russian gas transit in 2005," reads Gazprom's press release.

Besides, in line with the documents, Gazprom has sold 5.25 billion cubic meters of Russian gas stored in Ukraine to the RosUkrEnergo company, the release said.
