MOSCOW, July 18 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov signed a resolution to raise the oil export tariff to a record $140 per metric ton beginning August 1, the governmental press service said.
The tariff, which is reviewed every two months, is based upon the average price for Russian oil on the world market, which in turn is calculated based upon the monitoring results of the two previous months.
The oil export tariff has stood at $136.2 per metric ton since June 1.
The August 1 rate was set proceeding from the May-June monitoring results.
