MOSCOW, July 18 (RIA Novosti, Pavel Minakov) - The Dagestani and Chechen law enforcement bodies have no contradictions, Adilgerei Magomedtagirov, the interior minister of Dagestan (a Russian constituent republic in the North Caucasus bordering on Chechnya) told RIA Novosti.

The minister said the existing problems were resolved in an orderly manner.

Zulai Kadyrova, daughter of Chechen President Akhmad Kadyrov, who was killed in a May 9, 2004 terrorist attack, was detained in Dagestan's Khasavyurt district in January 2005 when she failed to present her ID.

Some media reported that she was injured during the detention. Subsequently, Chechen President Alu Alkhanov demanded that the Dagestani Interior Ministry investigate the case.

Dagestani authorities said Chechen security officers came to release Kadyrova and beat several local policemen.

"Today the Dagestani Interior Ministry and Chechen law enforcement bodies have no unresolved issues," Magomedtagirov said, following meetings with heads of the Chechen Interior Ministry.

He added that the two ministries maintained cooperation and had recently conducted over 90 joint operations.

"We detained 24 militants, killed seven, and discovered three bases and 20 caches with weapons and ammunition," Magomedtagirov said.
