VLADIVOSTOK, July 20 (RIA Novosti, Anatoly Ilyukhov) - Russian border guards arrested a Cambodian fishing schooner and escorted it to the Russian far-eastern port of Nakhodka for examination Wednesday, a local Border Service official said.
"A foreign schooner was stopped in the Russian exclusive economic zone in the Sea of Japan. Russian Border guards discovered an undocumented cargo of 17 metric tons of crab," the official said, adding that it was substantiated that the schooner had crossed the zone's boundary without notifying Russian authorities.
The official said the Young Huna 06 and its crew of South Koreans, Chinese and Filipinos, were arrested after a long pursuit.
The schooner's master said the cargo had been taken onboard at the northern Japanese Hokkaido Island port of Vakkanai to be delivered to Pusan, South Korea.
