PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, July 28 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov said here today that Russia did "not care" about other countries' concerns over Russian-Chinese military exercises planned for August. "In anticipation of multiple speculations on the matter, I am here to say that the practical stage of preparation for the exercises will take place thousands of kilometers from Taiwan, precisely on the Shandong Peninsula," Ivanov said.
The minister said the first stage of command staff exercises would be completed in early August in Russia. It will be followed by the practical stage on Chinese territory in the Yellow Sea region from August 19-23.
