MOSCOW, August 5 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Railroads plans to decrease the volume of oil deliveries to China in 2005 from 10 million to 7 million metric tons, a company official said Friday.
He said this decision was caused by the shortage of oil-loading capacity. After an oil-loading rack in Uyar (the Krasnoyarsk Territory) becomes operational, the volume of oil deliveries might increase from 10 million to15 million tons, he added without specifying a timetable.
Russian Railroads President Vladimir Yakunin, who was appointed to his current post in June 2005, told a news conference that despite the reshuffle in its leadership, the company would meet all it prior obligations, including international.
The total volume of oil deliveries to China in 2005 was estimated at 10 million-15 million tons. At the news conference in June, Yakunin said he hoped it would reach 30 million tons.
