MOSCOW, August 5 (RIA Novosti) - Moscow is scheduled to host the World Circus Art Festival dedicated to the 60th anniversary of VE Day on September 28-October 2, Vremya Novostei daily said.
A huge tent seating 2,500 will be set on Poklonnaya Gora.
Circus artists from 14 countries will be competing for the Golden Bear award.
The festival's jury includes directors of British, Italian, Australian, Hungarian, Polish and Russian circuses, including famous animal trainer Mstislav Zapashny, the head of the Russian Circus Company.
A gala parade will go from Smolenskaya Ploshchad to Poklonnaya Gora October 1.
The final performance will be shown on big screens installed on Poklonnaya Gora and be broadcasted online on the web sites www.cultu.ru and www.festival.circus.ru.
The first circus festival was held on Red Square in 1996.
