ROME, August 5 (RIA Novosti, Nikita Barashev) - A demonstration to commemorate victims of the Hiroshima nuclear bombing during World War II gathered Friday in front of the Pantheon here.
"Especially today in such difficult times for the whole world, it is important to remember the Hiroshima tragedy," said Athos De Luca president of the organizing committee Terra e Pace.
"Hiroshima stirred the desire for peace and disgust for weapons of mass destruction within people," Italian President Carlo Azeglio Ciampi said in a statement.
